Navigating Construction during COVID-19: A Case Study in How Team Culture Influence Project Outcomes

Using the context of the Vancouver Clinic Camas Expansion, this panel will discuss how investment in a collaborative design build project delivery methodology laid the foundation for outstanding project performance and relatively seamless navigation of complications brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Session participants will hear the panel discuss how this team adapted existing practices in collaboration to be viable in a virtual environment, incorporating flexibility, communication, and strategies for construction management allowing for the delivery of a new two-story, 26,400 square foot medical office building one month early and with a projected total budget savings of $2.3M.
